Ingredients
- 175 gr of tool
dal (a type of yellow lentils)
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- ½ tablespoons of mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- some leaves of 1-2 cilantro sprigs
- 2 tomatoes peeled and chopped
- ½ teaspoon of tumeric
- 1 tooth of garlic finely chopped
- 2 green peppers rolled
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- ½ tablespoons of mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds

- 2 tomatoes peeled and chopped
- ½ teaspoon of tumeric
- 1 tooth of garlic finely chopped

Preparation
1. Select
firstly a good dal. Boil 850 ml of water, add the dal and braise it during 15
minutes, till the dal consistence let you crush it
with the bottom part of a wooden spoon. Apart and reserve it covered for later.
2. Heat
the oil in a small pan and add the mustard seeds. Toast them for a few seconds
till the seeds look brown.
3. Add the
cumin seeds, the onion and half of the cilantro leaves, and fry all, without stopping
stirring, till the onion is golden.
4. Add the tomatoes, the turmeric, the garlic and the pepper, stirring well and crushing the tomatoes with a fork to finish mixing it with the other ingredients and form a paste.
5. Add the
settled dal previously with a pinch of boiled water. Stir, heat it again and
add salt to taste. The leftover cilantro leaves will serve you of
garrison.
